Pre-season numbers
I think it’s always fun to look at the numbers, even in the pre-season because it shows little things about your team and what they may need to work on. The Ravens running game has been on fire gaining 137.5 yards per game with a 4.7 average per carry. The offensive line is blocking well and Musa Smith has been dominant. The Ravens are averaging 181.5 yards passing per game, but the important stat here is that they are completing 66.1% of their passes. McNair is quickly getting used to his new receivers and Kyle Boller is continuing to improve.
The defense is getting that evil, nasty glare back to it. The Ravens have dominated the line of scrimmage holding opponents to an average of 65.0 yards rushing per game with an average run of 2.6 yards. The elite secondary that the Ravens currently have is holding the opposing team to an average of 175.0 yards per game passing, while only allowing them to complete 50.8% of their passes.
