The Ravens season ends with 15-6 loss to the Colts in Baltimore

The Ravens defense had to be disgusted in the locker room with the offense.  The Ravens held the Colts without a TD and still lost by 9 points.  Steve McNair played an awful game and yesterdays game was the reason the Ravens acquired him and he layed an egg on the field.

Steve McNair completed 18 of 29 passes for 173 yards and 2 gigantic interceptions!  With the Ravens losing 6-3 in the second quarter and the Ravens driving, McNair tossed his first interception to rookie safety Antoine Bethea at the Colts 1-yard line.  The Colts then went on long drive and kicked a FG to make it 9-3.  But, his second interception was the final nail in the coffin, as Nick Harper intercepted the ball at the Colts 32 yard line in the 4th quarter with the Colts winning 12-6.  What a pathetic performance by McNair.

The Ravens should have given the ball more to Jamal Lewis as he carried the ball 13 times for 53 yards (4.1 ypc) and he caught 3 passes for 24 yards.  Mark Clayton also had a good game with 6 grabs for 73 yards, but the Colts shut everyone else down in the Ravens passing game.

The Ravens played a great game on defense as Ray Lewis led the way with 15 tackles.  Kelly Gregg also had a really solid game from the tackle position with 9 tackles.  Ed Reed was all over the field as he picked off two passes and came close to getting a couple more.  The Ravens held the Colts to 100 yards rushing on 35 carries (2.9 ypc).  The Colts also completed 15 of 30 passes for 161 net yards passing.

It really must hurt to have the team that left Baltimore return to the city and end their season.   The fans must feel awful about it.  http://scores.espn.go.com/nfl/boxscore?gameId=270113033

This paragraph from Michael Wilbon’s column in the Washington Post says it all…

“Not that the Ravens’ D didn’t play extremely well, but they ran their mouths once again about putting a hurt on somebody, only to have their own feelings hurt and their season shut down. Now, they’ll have to live the offseason knowing they were outperformed on their own field by another defense, one thought to be utterly inferior. It’s Freeney and Sanders and Harper who will lead the Colts into the AFC championship game next week, not as a one-dimensional team, not even in the context of this postseason as Peyton Manning’s team. Two more defensive performance like Saturday’s and they’ll be fitting the Indianapolis Colts for rings.”

LOL! I love the fact that the Colts were the team to end Baltimore’s season. I was getting sick of their fans crying about how evil the Irsays and the Colts are….when the people of Baltimore did the same exact thing to the city of Cleveland. Now you can go cry in your beer and watch the Colts win the Super Bowl. If you clowns would have supported your team in the first place, Peyton Manning would be your QB….but you have the washed up Steve McNair! HAHAHAHAHA! I hate the Ravens and the people of Baltimore that stole my team!!!!!!!!!!

Wow. While that is harsh Ravenhater….it is true. The people of Baltimore did steal your team and they did it with money that was supposed to go to the schools of Baltimore. I have no defense for the city of Baltimore.
