The Ravens are expected to release Jamal Lewis before March 3rd as he will get a $5 million dollar roster bonus on that day if he’s still on the team.  He’s currently recovering from surgery to remove bone spurs from his ankle.  The Ravens will likely draft a running back to team with Mike Anderson.

Steve McNair looked to his tight ends often in the passing attack as they caught 95 passes for 946 yards with 9 TD catches.  Todd Heap was the leader of this unit as he started all 16 games and caught 73 passes for 765 yards (10.5 avg) with 6 TD catches.  For his career, Heap has played in 82 games (75 starts) and he’s caught 316 passes for 3,658 yards (11.6 avg) with 26 TD grabs.  Heap has great hands and deceptive speed which makes him one of McNair’s favorite weapons in the passing game.

Daniel Wilcox gets the scraps from the table.  He played in 14 games (6 starts) and he caught 20 passes for 166 yards (8.3 avg.) with 3 TD catches.  For his career, Wilcox has played in 46 games (14 starts) and has caught 65 passes for 539 yards (8.3 avg.) with 5 TD catches.

Rookie Quinn Sypniewski played in all 16 games (3 starts) and he caught 2 passes for 15 yards (7.5 avg.).
