The Ravens have re-signed 33-year old inside linebacker Ray Lewis to a new three year deal.  This was essential for the Ravens as Lewis is the main man there despite his advancing age.  Lewis played in all 16 games for the Ravens last season and he made 117 tackles, defensed 9 passes, recorded 3.5 sacks, forced 2 fumbles and he intercepted 3 passes.  Lewis has played in 178 games in his NFL career and he has made 1,625 tackles, defensed 100 passes, has 33.5 sacks, forced 12 fumbles and he has intercepted 28 passes (two returned for TDs).  The Ravens were smart to keep the Heart and Soul of the defense for the rest of his career.
